Brief Biography:
After completing his PhD from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 2008, Joseph Shomberg joined the Mathematics and Computer Science faculty at Providence College. Now in the capacity of Associate Professor, Joseph works on numerical analysis of Cahn-Hilliard equations and variants thereof. He also uses simulated solutions as data to train machine learning algorithms that predict solutions to forward and backward problems.
